The Oldham Effect

Baltimore really is becoming a bit of creative hub at the moment. With names like Animal Collective, Beach House, Cass McCombs, Dan Deacon etc the American city looks set to take over from Portland for this year's hot spot on the musical map. Among Wolves are the next band to catch my well proportioned ears, with their obvious love of Will Oldham and ability to combine Beach Boys' harmonies with country/indie rock, I'm well and truly sold.
